For better perspectives, change your vantage point by moving your feet.

When composing your shot, consider if a different vantage point can portray your subject in a different, more interesting light.


Above are two shots of the same busker in London. One shows the passers-by in the background behind him, giving the feeling the busker is obscured in the crowd. The other, taken from a vantage point 90 degrees from the first, removes the passers-by and isolates the busker, making him stand out.


Both photographs were taken in London on my Olympus OM-1 with Olympus Zuiko Auto-S 50mm F1.8 lens. The film used was Ilford HP5+ pushed to ISO3200.
