Something as ordinary as pumping up and down a transition on a miniramp can be made to pop out of the blur, creating a sense of energy through the use of panning.
Panning is the deliberate use of a long exposure time while moving the camera in line with a moving subject so the subject stays sharp while the background gets motion-blurred.

Taken with Sony Alpha 7ii with vintage Olympus OM 28mm F2.8 lens. See alternative colour edit at @ctrlsld on Instagram.
